3. How Local Storage Works

FamilyQuest AI stores your family's data in your browser's localStorage — a built-in feature of all modern web browsers. This storage:

To delete all your data: Open your browser settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Select "Cookies and site data" → Clear. This permanently removes all FamilyQuest AI data from your device. No request to us is needed.

Because we do not hold your family's data on our servers, we cannot recover it if you clear your browser storage. We recommend noting your family setup if you plan to use multiple devices.

4. AI Features and Data

Premium users have access to the AI Family Coach, powered by Claude AI (created by Anthropic). When you use this feature:

Anthropic processes these requests in accordance with their own privacy policy. Anthropic does not use your prompts to train their models in the context of API usage.

The legal basis for processing this data is performance of a contract — you have purchased Premium access which includes this AI feature, and this processing is necessary to provide it.

5. Payments

Premium purchases are processed entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. When you make a purchase:

6. Cookies and Analytics

FamilyQuest AI does not set tracking cookies. We use localStorage (not cookies) to store your app data. We may set a session cookie for security purposes only, which expires when you close your browser.

We may use privacy-preserving analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate (e.g. how many visitors, which pages are visited, what devices are used). This data is always aggregated and anonymous — no individual users are identified or tracked.
